PSMC is a specialist project management and engineering based small to medium enterprise based in the nation's capital, Canberra; Australian Capital Territory. Combined, we have over 200 years broad experience and expertise in Defence. While we work outside of Defence our main focus is Defence projects.

We have achieved this by combining our in-depth understanding of the complexities of Defence requirements and processes with a very thorough understanding of the technologies required to support Defence priorities. Since 1998 this unique expertise, combined with our extensive network of technical suppliers has enabled us to implement a range of innovative solutions across Defence Training Areas including:
· Radio safety and control communications networks, powered by solar and wind power, located across all Australian states and territories.
· A township constructed of shipping containers providing a cost effective and realistic environment for military training in urban environments, with the ability to re-configure the township to suit training requirements.
· Solar and diesel hybrid power systems at remote training areas in the Northern Territory to meet essential power requirements.
· Leading the development of a joint US and Australian study into the future requirements to enhance high-end, bilateral training in order to increase and measure operational capability and preparedness, improve interoperability, and facilitiate capability development.
· Leading the strategic review of Defence Training Areas with the aim to ensure that training areas and ranges align with the outcomes of Force Disposition Review; in particular, the longer term disposition of the Australian Defence Force (ADF), and that the management and development of training areas meet current and future capability requirements.
The 'jewel in the crown' of our Defence work is; PSMC provide total management of the Defence Training Area Safety and Control Communications Systems, Hybrid Power Systems, Weapon Impact Scoring Set and the Tactical Area Safety Surveillance System. It is worthy to note, PSMC is unique in the Defence industry, we manage the in-service support, system sustainability and contracts of the systems Maintenance Contractors for these Defence owned systems; the only thing we don't do is to perform the 'functions of state' but even there we provide advice to the financial delegates.
